Wizard of Oz-Mapping
The Forgotten City is the Underground City of Emerald City hidden in site from those living in Emerald City, the capital of Oz-and it is a secret place only known to the Wizard of Oz where the Workians mine emeralds, rubies, and diamonds to builders of the Emerald City, and the Ruby City in order to build their buildings, as well as craft other things. (Diamonds may be used as currency within that city as well.
The Forgotten City consists of 3,000 inhabitants, and only occupies a small part of the Emerald City underground. Most of the population consists of Workians and their children who--in which the Father Workians work in 3 hours each day and change shifts mining Emeralds, while the Mother Workians push around Mining Carts and help with distributing emeralds, diamonds and rubies to the other cities, through carts. The Wizard of Oz does not want the citizens to know about the Underground City-as he fears the knowledge will affect the citizen's respect of him--and because of the "I love work" environment-he prefers to avoid it.
The Forgotten City mostly consists of a Church, some villages (houses), a mining distribution center, a town-hall as well as a secret staircase that goes to the Emerald City, and a secret passageway that allows them to go out of the city (as they are not allowed to be seen). Although they do love working, the Wizard of Oz insists they at least have one day off so he set up a Church there-not as a place of worship, but as an excuse they should rest (although they work on their own craft projects).
Inside the village, there is a village-idea square, where the Workians share their ideas--as well as a school that their children could attend (because they believe their children should be really educated. To the west, that space is left blank due to the busy footsteps of civilians in the Emerald City walking above them--so they caution everyone not to build anything within that area, as to not draw attention to themselves. For Workians, a life is happy with only one rest day per week, and 3 meals per day. They love eating the same meals, Salad with Pork is their specialty, and they really enjoy it (as courtesy from the Wizard of Oz for their hard work.) Secretly, they enacted a mini idol-statue of the Wizard of Oz, in one of the Advisor's Houses--because they actually admire him a lot for his "supposedly" architectural advice. For their language their speak gibberish, but they are also fluent in the languages of the Emerald City, Ruby City, and (maybe hidden) Diamond City.
